Daniël Herter
Daniël is a director who puts people and emotion first. He has a strong instinct for finding what feels genuine in front of the camera, giving people the space and trust to be fully themselves.
His work moves between documentary and sports, always looking for the real story rather than the expected route. Daniël is also an experienced editor, giving him a precise feel for rhythm and structure. The result is a director who shoots with the edit in mind: intentional, deliberate, and allergic to the obvious.
His short documentary Island of Hope, about people with albinism living on Ukerewe Island in Tanzania, was nominated for Best Documentary at several international film festivals.
